Position description: Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, the Shop Backup offers assistance to customers in our nonprofit retail shop. Their primary duties include making all visitors feel welcome, assisting customers in finding inspiration and supplies for their projects, arranging products on the display shelves, processing material donations, processing payments, and keeping the shop clean. This position will also work closely with other team members to assist with the retail operation, donation center, and overall organization.

Three Rivers Waterkeeper is hiring an Environmental Law Intern
Position description: Three Rivers Waterkeeper (3RWK) is seeking to hire a summer Legal Intern to work on permit monitoring, writing comments related to environmental advocacy issues, community advocacy, and legal administrative work. The list of general responsibilities is not exhaustive, and we plan to modify each internship to reflect the interns’ skills, passions, and availability.
Intern may participate in writing briefs, drafting comments, preparing legal analyses, obtaining right-to-knows, investigating violations of environmental and public health laws, developing policy advocacy campaigns, providing public comment at hearings, and drafting white papers on environmental legal issues for 3RWK. Our interns play an active role on the frontlines to protect our planet and the communities that depend upon it.

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC) is seeking a Project Manager to manage the design and planning of capital projects. This position offers exciting and rewarding opportunities for an experienced, creative, and self-directed project manager who has the necessary technical skills, vision, and passion to help improve the quality of public space through the City of Pittsburgh.
Working under the direction of the Director of Community Projects and Engagement, the Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and design of capital improvement projects, led by the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC) in the City of Pittsburgh’s park system. The role will primarily focus on the design, planning, and community engagement phases of capital projects in public parks, with an emphasis on working with residents and stakeholders to develop concepts, designs, and improvement plans that respond directly to community goals and priorities.
As a member of the Community Projects and Engagement team, the Project Manager will coordinate and collaborate across multiple PPC departments, identifying opportunities to align PPC’s diverse resources and skillsets to develop unique projects that advance the goals of the organization, meet City stakeholder priorities, and deliver transformative projects that improve user experience and quality of life for Pittsburgh Park visitors.
Typical projects may include, but are not limited to, the renovation, expansion, or creation of playgrounds, athletic fields and courts, historical landscapes and structures, plazas, monuments, park support buildings, green infrastructure and stormwater management systems, ecological restoration areas, trails, community gardens, wayfinding and signage, and other park spaces.

Position Description: The Council seeks an innovative, motivated, and experienced team leader with a demonstrated track record of running successful environmental campaigns. The Director of Campaigns will lead the Council’s regional, statewide, and local advocacy campaigns, including campaigns to block or reduce the harm from polluting projects, promote renewable energy projects, and achieve environmental protection policy goals. The Director of Campaigns supervises advocates (five direct reports) based in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and spearheads a portfolio of their own campaign work.
