Youth Enrichment Services is hiring several positions including a Programs Manager

Position description: YES’ Program Manager works as an intermediary between YES’ executive leadership team and YES’ frontline direct staff to manage and oversee the implementation of YES’ academic, workforce, violence prevention, and diversion programming. This position is designed to ensure effective program implementation and program compliance with grant-initiated expectations. This position is created to equip coordinators and frontline staff with the tools and resources - through training, supervision, and daily program support - to deliver high quality programming and services for YES’ students and their families. Ultimately, this role is designed to ensure YES’ organization-specific program objectives and goals are successfully achieved.

  • Direct Management, Training, and Supervision

    • Oversee Coordinators of Workforce and Post-Secondary Programming

    • Oversee Leaders of Gender-Specific Programming

    • Guide program coordinators in effective leadership of programs based on YES’ mission and grant-specific priorities through targeted supervision, coaching, professional development, and staff training

    • Conduct meetings with program staff to support program implementation and development

    • Oversee job delivery and performance to ensure sound program management

  • Program Development

    • Manage agency’s profile of programs and services

    • Ensure programs adhere to outlined curriculums, models, structures, and frameworks to support student learning

    • Address program implementation needs as they arise

    • Communicate resource gaps in programs and services to ensure effective implementation

POGOH is hiring several positions including a Field Team Manager

Position description: The Field T eam Manager at POGOH is expected to foster an upbeat, solution-focused approach, work efficiently, and communicate effectively across teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of field service workers who independently handle a variety of tasks such as rebalancing, locating missing or unsecured bicycles, troubleshooting and maintaining stations, and responding to events (like sports games).

  • Analyze system data regularly to improve efficiency and to increase trips

  • Deeply understand all aspects of the field team operations – this role may occasionally dispatch teams, create service routes and tasks, and manage station maintenance schedules

  • Direct teams to ensure unsafe, damaged, or otherwise nonfunctioning bicycles are removed from public use

  • Maintain frequent and clear communication between teams

  • Provide positive customer experiences by keeping bikes and station components fully operational, with reliable connectivity at each station

  • Adhere to the Field Service Program and safety guidelines to meet the needs of special events, winter maintenance, and station installation.

  • Assemble or disassemble station or bike equipment as needed

  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive work environment

  • Other tasks may be assigned by the Director of Operations

Three Rivers Waterkeeper is hiring a Summer Legal Intern

Position description: Three Rivers Waterkeeper (3RWK) is seeking to hire a summer Legal Intern to work on permit monitoring, writing comments related to environmental advocacy issues, community advocacy, and legal administrative work. The list of general responsibilities is not exhaustive, and we plan to modify each internship to reflect the interns’ skills, passions, and availability.

Key responsibilities include: Intern may participate in writing briefs, drafting comments, preparing legal analyses, obtaining right-to-knows, investigating violations of environmental and public health laws, developing policy advocacy campaigns, providing public comment at hearings, and drafting white papers on environmental legal issues for 3RWK. Our interns play an active role on the frontlines to protect our planet and the communities that depend upon it.

PUMP is hiring a PSL Player Experience Manager

Position description: The Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL) is a social enterprise housed within the nonprofit PUMP which was founded in 1996. The position of PSL Player Experience Manager is a full-time position with benefits. This position will be tasked with engaging with PSL participants through a variety of ways including program development, social media, and marketing strategies. Additionally, this position is afforded the ability to be creative and innovative when it comes to enhancing the PSL experience whether through new programming or through supporting existing programming. The PSL Player Experience Manager reports directly to the PSL Director and works as part of a team of professionals who serve PSL and PUMP.

Key responsibilities:

  • PSL Program Development and Implementation (50%)

  • PSL League Support (20%)

  • Support PUMP staff with any PUMP events as needed.

Break Free From Plastic is hiring several Movement and Policy Fellows

Position Description: This six month program will culminate in the Break Free From Plastic annual Hill Week in Washington, DC. Participants will have the opportunity to build capacity around plastics & petrochemical organizing, specifically related to campaign planning, comms, and policy!

Key responsibilities: The program will run from February through July 2025 and require approximately 3 - 5 hours of engagement a month, with increased time ahead of and during our annual Hill Week in June (exact dates TBD!). Your time will be split between monthly policy & movement workshops, skill-building sessions, and independent research/writing. As we get closer to June, you will work with movement leaders to prepare for meetings with congressional offices, plan events throughout Hill Week, and learn the skills needed to be a lobbying team co-captain.

Location: Remote with one trip to DC

Salary/Pay: $100 monthly stipend for 3-5 hours per week (February through July 2025)

Clean Air Council is hosting Swissvale Community Composting Workshops

Clean Air Council is hosting workshops and other community events starting in early 2025 to educate residents about composting, and offers free compost bins for interested parties in order to support the community and the environment. Those interested will have an opportunity to discuss what they would want composting in Swissvale to look like.

CAC staff will have a follow-up meeting with those who receive a compost bin to address any issues or concerns throughout the process. The amount of organic waste composted will also be measured during a tracking period to calculate how much waste has been diverted from landfills.

​Activities: We will discuss activities for the New Year, as well as networking opportunities to grow the community resource sharing network in support of the site and local urban agriculture

​This event will be indoors, but make sure to bring clothes toed shoes, long pants, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty in case we make a site visit!
