Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is hiring a Horticultural Coordinator

Position Description: The function of this position is the coordination of the planning and delivery of horticultural services including ordering, installation of plant materials and maintenance for all community flower gardens, downtown greening projects and other greening initiatives. This position maintains relationships with contractors and community groups as appropriate for project implementation and sustainability. This person develops and implements, under the guidance of supervisor, work plans, annual garden designs, garden maps, plant orders, materials ordering and inventory. This person also assists with recordkeeping for projects, reporting on deliverables, and assists with on-going program monitoring and evaluation. This person reports directly to the Community Greening Project Manager.

Pittsburgh Park Conservancy is hiring a Philanthropy Manager

Position description: he Philanthropy Manager: Annual Giving manages the annual fund and digital fundraising initiatives for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC), including the design and implementation of strategic and comprehensive year-long plans to maintain, secure, and prospect individual donors for the organization.

Reporting to and working with the Director of Advancement, the Philanthropy Manager: Annual Giving will implement annual, multi-channel processes to ensure conversion of new donors, consistent renewals, and increasingly evolving gift acquisition, with a particular focus on digital engagement. The Philanthropy Manager: Annual Giving will also manage the Parks Conservancy’s commemorative giving program.

This position will actively design customized print, email, and social media solicitations designed to elevate online, mobile, and social media philanthropy of current and prospective individual donors at all levels. This includes a highly coordinated effort with the broader Advancement department to enhance the Parks Conservancy’s base of annual fund donors through new and existing strategies. This position will also identify and develop avenues for new donor acquisition through cross-departmental partnerships and oversee a moves management strategy to advance donor giving.

To provide a seamless donor experience, the Philanthropy Manager: Annual Giving is also responsible for crafting and managing a robust donor stewardship program including emails, personalized notes, phone calls, meetings, and events. In addition to the above, the Philanthropy Manager: Annual Giving will work in collaboration with the Database Administrator who handles gift entry and acknowledgment, data health and wellness, as well as data analysis to identify donor trends for opportunity.

Performance System Development is hiring a Energy Efficiency QA Specialist

Position Description: The QA Specialist will work in a dynamic team environment on the Quality Assurance of residential energy efficiency (EE) programs in Pennsylvania. As a QA Specialist for PSD, you will work closely with a group of highly skilled professionals to conduct QA ratings/field inspections to the requirements of various utility programs.

What will you do?

  • Perform comprehensive quality assurance inspections on homes participating in various utility programs. This entails collecting data to include blower door testing, duct testing, health and safety testing as well as other measurements.

  • Record, process and maintain detailed records of the work performed in the field.

  • Construct and review energy models. Report findings via company’s tracking system.

  • Submit timely data collection files for review by senior staff.

  • Manage time effectively and within project budget constraints.

  • Submit time and expense reports promptly and per client and company requirements.

  • Provide technical assistance, and support to Raters, builders, and internal staff participating in programs while nurturing and developing these business relationships.
