412 Food Rescue is hiring an Executive Director of Major and Planned Gifts
Position description: The Executive Director of Major and Planned Gifts will lead 412 Food Rescue's efforts to secure leadership gifts from individuals with the establishment of a formalized major and planned giving program. This will include all aspects of the major gift plan, including research and identification of prospects; cultivation and relationship management of the portfolio; proposal development and solicitation; and ongoing stewardship of donors, primarily in the greater Pittsburgh area. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this newly created leadership position will play a crucial role in expanding our donor base and ensuring long-term financial sustainability for our innovative food recovery and distribution programs.

This internship is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited graduate school program in the United States with an expected graduation date in 2025 or 2026. This is a fully remote position open to all US-based applicants, with preference for New York City-based candidates. The position is slated for November 2024 – February 2025 with the possibility of extension. Interns will be asked to work an average of 20 hours per week.

Bike Share Pittsburgh is hiring a Full-time Field Team Manager
Position description: Bike Share Pittsburgh seeks a full-time Field Team Manager to analyze rebalancing data, to increase efficiency in field operations, and to manage a team of 10+ independent workers. The Field Team Manager will lead the team in prioritizing routine daily rebalancing: addressing missing or unsecured bicycles, troubleshooting and maintaining stations, and responding to events. In addition, this role manages station equipment, and oversees station inventory.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead a team of field service workers who independently handle a variety of tasks such as rebalancing, locating missing or unsecured bicycles, troubleshooting and maintaining stations, and responding to events (like sports games)
Analyze system data regularly to improve efficiency and to increase trips
Deeply understand all aspects of the field team operations – this role may occasionally dispatch teams, create service routes and tasks, and manage station maintenance schedules
Direct teams to ensure unsafe, damaged, or otherwise nonfunctioning bicycles are removed from public use
Maintain frequent and clear communication between teams
Provide positive customer experiences by keeping bikes and station components fully operational, with reliable connectivity at each station
Adhere to the Field Service Program and safety guidelines to meet the needs of special events, winter maintenance, and station installation.
Assemble or disassemble station or bike equipment as needed
Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive work environment
Other tasks may be assigned by the Director of Operations

Position description: The Campaign Organizer is responsible for organizing campaigns which win real victories and build the grassroots power to accomplish Sierra Club priorities, which are: to address climate disruption, transform the energy economy, protect communities from pollution, ensure access to the outdoors for all and protect our lands, water and wildlife. The Chapter is a crucial partner for the Campaign Organizer to successfully carry out strategic plans. Bread & Roses Community Fund is hiring a Climate Justice Fund Program Associate
Position description: The Climate Justice Fund Program Associate will support Bread & Roses Community Fund’s Climate Justice Fund, which is being designed through a community-driven process in 2024 and will begin grantmaking in 2025. This position reports to the director of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage community-led grantmaking
In collaboration with director of programs, manage all aspects of the Community Grantmaking Committee (CGC); this may include recruiting and training members, scheduling meetings and applicant interviews, facilitating discussions, and ensuring that grantmaking practices align with the fund criteria (eligibility, award amounts, and application processes) established by the Community Advisory Committee
In collaboration with grants administration staff, review all grant applications and prepare eligible applications for review by CGC members

Once funds are awarded, create, distribute, and collect grant agreements
Support grantee reporting; maintain accurate, up-to-date grantee files
Participate in team-wide responsibilities, including screening applications for eligibility and maintaining grants administration systems
Coordinate evaluation, reflection, and reporting to funders
Track grantee needs and work to identify and share potential solutions
