Chatham University is hiring a Director of Green Buildings & Systems and Assistant Professor

Position Description: Chatham University's Falk School of Sustainability & Environment has an opening for a Director of Green Buildings & Energy Systems and Assistant Professor at its groundbreaking Eden Hall Campus.

We are seeking someone who brings experience both in professional practice and in the classroom so they can bridge key functions within Eden Hall's living, and learning laboratory. Successful candidates will show how their training and experience prepare them to (1) oversee operations of state-of-the-art green buildings, on-site renewable energy systems, and a green wastewater treatment facility, (2) teach students within our interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and (3) help manage academic and community partnerships around green buildings and energy systems.

You will bring your passion for people, green buildings, and renewable energy, your professional operations and teaching experience, and your excitement for working in a dynamic environment of students, other faculty, and professional staff. SWCA Environmental Consultants is hiring an Assistant Project Wetland Scientist

Position Description: SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) is seeking an Assistant Project Wetland Scientist to be based out of our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. The selected candidate will support projects in the Pittsburgh area and throughout the Northeast US. The Assistant Project Wetland Scientist position requires an educational and experienced background in biology, natural resource management, botany, water resources, or a related field. This position will be a mix of field and office work, depending on project type and season.


This position requires fieldwork where the climate, weather and terrain can be demanding. It is anticipated that moderate travel, including overnight stays, will be required. Field work will be primarily in the Northeast US but may include travel to states in other ecoregions. Project reporting and other office tasks will require working on a computer for extended periods. For office tasks, we offer a hybrid approach and support a flexible schedule and working from home.

Position description: Data analysis is core to EHP’s business operations. The organization analyzes health data and monitors air pollutants such as particulate matter and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) near industry sites, including well pads and compressor stations.
