ReImagine Appalachia is hiring a Sustainable Manufacturing Researcher
Position description: ReImagine Appalachia believes growing clean and efficient manufacturing is key to creating jobs equivalent to those found in the coal industry. Regional experts and community advocates provide input on key topics that ReImagine Appalachia researches, writes about and then implements in a collective action plan. The Sustainable Manufacturing Researcher will conduct research to help support the implementation of and advocacy for ReImagine Appalachia’s work plan, with a focus on regional economic conditions, manufacturing sector trends and locations, supply chain development and related workforce training and needs.
Main responsibilities include: Review of literature, interviewing experts, drafting case studies; Quantitative analysis of sustainable industries, regional competitiveness, workforce skills, commuting patterns, etc.; and Supply chain configuration and opportunities for expansion in central Appalachia

Reducing Outdoor Contaminants in Indoor Spaces (ROCIS) is hiring a Southwestern PA Program Coordinator
Position description: The ROCIS initiative, which began in 2014 with funding from The Heinz Endowments, strives to reduce human exposure to both outside contaminants and indoor sources of pollution (primarily air pollution and specifically particles) in the buildings where we live, work, and learn. As an on-the-ground representative of the ROCIS initiative, the SWPA Program Coordinator will facilitate ROCIS programs, recruit participants for the Low Cost Monitoring Project and other programs, manage project logistics and equipment, interface with stakeholders, and represent ROCIS at networking and presentation opportunities.
Key responsibilities include: Manage the recruitment and confirmation of LCMP cohort participants; Support current and former LCMP participants who are engaging in both short-term and longer term interventions for improved air quality; and Identify and cultivate opportunities for partnerships with individuals, businesses, organizations, or other potential collaborators.
This is a full time, remote based position that required occasional travel. Several days a month will be spent in their main office located in Greene County.

Position description: Under administrative direction, the Project Coordinator is responsible for planning and administering a specific project or program for the City. Key responsibilities of the role include: respond to referrals and requests for service from elderly persons and/or adults with disabilities through the telephone, email, or walk in contacts; provide homelessness prevention & housing resources by establishing contact with the consumer, assessing the individual’s long and short term needs and eligibility, identifying resources to meet those needs, and providing a referral to identified resources; and conduct comprehensive assessment of client needs, values and preferences.
