Allegheny County Conservation District is hiring a Municipal Engagement Manager
Position description: Allegheny County Conservation District (ACCD) is part of a national regulatory network and plays an important role in how communities in Allegheny County preserve, protect and improve natural resources. ACCD is a progressive district with a creative approach to conservation work and has a diverse portfolio including urban and rural agriculture, watershed and wetland stewardship and improvement, as well as regulatory enforcement of four state laws that protect soil and water health. This position will be tasked with municipal outreach and engagement to identify barriers to and find opportunities to increase tree canopy and green spaces.
Responsibilities include: Outreach, engage and develop relationships with key stakeholders including non-profit organizations, municipal staff, and some elected officials; Plan and execute outcome focused meetings, including agenda setting, facilitation, minutes, assignment of action items, and follow up; and Lead or assist with implementation of recommendations and programs.
ACCD is a flexible, hybrid workplace where work takes place in the office, remotely, and in the field. This position requires travel around the county to meet with partners, some meetings will be in the evening and occasional weekends

St. Clair Superior Development Corporation is hiring an Assistant Director of Housing & Economic Development
Position description: St. Clair Superior Development Corporation (SCSDC) serves the St. Clair Superior neighborhood, a unique Cleveland community located between the City’s two largest employment centers (Downtown and University Circle) and directly borders the MidTown, Hough, Glenville, and Downtown neighborhoods. The Assistant Director of Housing and Economic Development will be responsible for overseeing housing and economic development.
Main responsibilities include: Maintain database of vacant/abandoned properties and real estate development opportunities using public databases and site visits to inspect properties to assess their marketability for redevelopment and tracking pending foreclosures; and Research the acquisition of vacant housing, including property ownership, title, liens, zoning, environmental issues and tax delinquencies for potential acquisitions through tax foreclosure proceedings.

Cleveland Museum of Natural History is hiring a Habitat Restoration Technician
Position description: The Cleveland Museum of Natural History (CMNH) Natural Areas Division has been involved in land protection and stewardship since 1956, with the mission to identify, protect, and steward the best remnants of native habitats present in the Lake Erie and upper Ohio River drainage prior to settlement. The Habitat Restoration Technician will be a part of a unique approach to stewardship and biodiversity management.
Responsibilities include: Assist in the ecological restoration and management of native marsh and swamp forest communities; Assist with the operation of an amphibious utility task vehicle (UTV) with crew and supplies; and Operates and maintains hand and power tools in working conditions to implement invasive plant management.
This is a three-month grant-funded seasonal position working up to 40 hours/week. This full-time temporary position will run from approximately May 13, 2024 to August 15, 2024.

Warren County Park District is hiring a Park Supervisor
Position description: The Park Supervisor is a working supervisory position that is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the park’s grounds, facilities and amenities, and for coordinating the activities of other team members engaged in similar work. This position, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), strives to provide the highest level of safety and service to park patrons.
Main responsibilities include: Routine and preventative maintenance of park lands, buildings and facilities such as trash collection and removal, shelter cleaning, trail maintenance, landscaping and amenity installation; Facility maintenance and cleaning such as window washing, painting, service maintenance and other custodial duties; and Trail maintenance such as resurfacing, grading, pruning, trimming and installation of signage, steps, culverts and drainage.
