FracTracker Alliance is hiring a Operations Assistant

Position description: FracTracker Alliance is a nonprofit organization that maps, analyzes, and communicates the risks of oil, gas, and petrochemical development to advance just energy alternatives that protect public health, natural resources, and the climate. The operations assistant will execute and support administrative, operational, and communications functions for the organization. This position is central to maintaining and improving the organization’s administrative and communications operations, and supporting processes that enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include: Assist with content management, including organizing content calendars; Assist with accounts receivable such as preparing invoices, tracking payments, and drafting contracts; and Assist with content creation for web and social media.

Position description: Pasa Sustainable Agriculture's mission is cultivating environmentally sound, economically viable, community-focused farms and food systems. They are seeking a Development Associate to help them engage their donors and cultivate support for our work. This position will assist the Associate Director for Development with fundraising strategies and campaigns, and help maintain engagement with farm and non-farm businesses, individuals, corporations, and lifetime members.

Position description: The AmeriCorps Program Coordinator assists with all aspects of running a program of Rebuilding Together, from meeting with clients to developing scopes of work, tracking data and increasing our community outreach. The AmeriCorps Program Coordinator serves as a point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of client communication and support throughout the application, intake, project, and close-out stages.

Allegheny Land Trust is hiring a Vice President, Development & Marketing

Position description: Allegheny Land Trust has protected more than 3,900 acres to preserve our region’s unique natural beauty, provide accessible outdoor recreational opportunities, improve water quality, sustain biodiversity, and enhance the overall quality of life for all. Their strategic priorities include land protection, land stewardship, community conservation, and environmental education. The Vice President of Development and Marketing is responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of Allegheny Land Trust’s comprehensive marketing, communications, and development efforts.

Responsibilities include: Leads the strategic development and implementation of fundraising plans and programs to support ALT operations and programming; Oversees the design and implementation of processes and systems to track donor data, identify trends, and maximize communication channels to engage current donors and identify and enlist new donors; and Increases awareness and perception of ALT across the region.

This role entails frequent travel by automobile to off-site meetings and activities during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Additionally, there may be occasional participation in outdoor activities such as hikes and outdoor service projects, which may require walking on uneven terrain. American Society for Horticultural Science is hiring a Chief Outreach Officer

Position description: The American Society for Horticultural Science is seeking a Chief Outreach Officer to advocate for the ASHS and its programs and topics relevant to members virtually or in person on a regular basis with all allied societies, legislators, regulatory agency officials, and the public.

LumiShield is hiring a Electroplater

Position description: LumiShield is a technology startup based in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. The company is commercializing a proprietary process for producing inexpensive, aluminum-based coatings, which was originally developed by Carnegie Mellon University and the National Energy Technology Laboratory. The successful candidate will bring electroplating industry knowledge, experience and contacts to the team. The candidate will work closely with the CEO and Operations Manager to implement LumiShield’s plating process at the facilities of its customers, which include manufacturers and electroplating shops. 

Responsibilities include: Work with the Operations Manager in implementation of LumiShield plating lines at customer facilities and transfer knowledge gained to the technical, sales and engineering teams; Assist in the design and operation of pilot-scale plating lines; and Contribute practical knowledge of electrode placement, part arrangement, additive use, pre- and post-plating treatments, and coating characterization to the R&D team.

Allegheny Land Trust is hiring a Mark MacKay Conservation Internship

Position description: Allegheny Land Trust has protected more than 3,900 acres to preserve our region’s unique natural beauty, provide accessible outdoor recreational opportunities, improve water quality, sustain biodiversity, and enhance the overall quality of life for all. Their strategic priorities include land protection, land stewardship, community conservation, and environmental education. The Mark MacKay Conservation Internship allows students to maintain and enhance the land, restore native plant and wildlife habitat, improve the visitor experience, conduct educational and scientific programming, and be the daily face of ALT at the site. The intern may also lead other special conservation-related projects as deemed appropriate during their tenure at the Greenway.

Main responsibilities include: Communicate the land’s unique attributes, critical habitats and resources, rules and regulations, and education and recreation opportunities to visitors; Coordinate and lead volunteer events and interpretive walks of the Greenway; and Assist with hands-on management plan implementation, invasive species control, and native habitat development.
