ReImagine Appalachia is hiring for two internships:

Digital Content Creator

This creative role requires someone who can identify, create, and deliver digital content using a range of techniques, across channels such as social media and webinars. We are interested in those with a communications background and/or studying communications.

Research Position

Coordinate and research to help support the implementation and advocacy for ReImagine Appalachian workplan, with a focus on new developments affecting the climate and infrastructure in the Appalachian region.

Location: remote

Experience: entry-level, specifics vary by position

Pay: $15/hour (part-time)

Allegheny County Conservation District is hiring a Program Assistant:

ACCD is growing, which has led to the creation of this new, exciting position. The Natural Resource Program Assistant will assist with ACCD’s watershed, urban soils, and agriculture programs. This dynamic position will provide support to the program team in the following areas: field work, soil and water sampling, monitoring and analysis, outreach and education, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the members of and amplify the effectiveness and accomplishments of the program team.

This position reports to the Program Team Director. Categorical position percentages will shift throughout the year depending on project priorities and seasonality.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburghers for Public Transit is hiring a Community Organizer:

The community organizer will work out of our Garfield office, but may work part-time remotely. The primary responsibilities will be to mobilize grassroots action for more equitable, affordable and sustainable transit service. The organizer will directly engage riders, bus operators and residents in community campaigns for expanded transit funding at the state and federal level, for fair fares, and for affordable housing and equitable development that puts people first. Relationship-building, leadership development and commun/ity engagement will happen through in-person, phone and digital means.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: intermediate, 2-3 years organizing, other relevant knowledge

Salary: $50,000

Pittsburgh United is hiring a Political Education & Training Director:

The Political Education and Training Director plays a key leadership role in developing and coordinating a comprehensive organizing training and political education curriculum that grows the knowledge and confidence of existing members, while simultaneously engaging the broader communities in which we work. The Political Education and Training Director will be a member of the organization’s Leadership Team.

Location: Western PA (regular travel between several counties)

Experience: mid-level, 4+ years relevant experience and knowledge

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

Energy Efficiency Alliance is hiring a Program Coordinator:

The Wester PA Program Coordinator builds business relationships, organizes events, and supports geographically-focused grant-funded projects in Western PA, ranging from workforce development projects to educating public officials. The Coordinator role involves both actively representing the organization in Western PA and being responsible for “back-office” coordination. Specific assignments will vary depending upon organizational priorities.

Location: Western PA

Experience: intermediate, bachelor’s degree or relevant experience/knowledge

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

the National Aviary is hiring a Content & Communications Manager:

The Content and Communications Manager leads the Marketing efforts for owned and earned channels to support revenue-driving Marketing campaigns, increase awareness, deepen community engagement, and support the overall goals of the National Aviary.

The Content and Communications Manager will establish and implement reporting and measurement capabilities to support continual advancement of the National Aviary’s website, email, social media, and media strategies. This individual must be aware of industry trends, risks and opportunities, and measures Aviary coverage on an ongoing basis.
