University of Pitt is hiring a Community Engagement Center Coordinator:
The Community Engagement Center (CEC) Director will work directly in partnership with organizations and leaders of Homewood to ensure the attainment of both community and University goals.
The director must be a trusted resource to community leadership as well as to University faculty and staff. In order to meet these objectives, the Center Director must be able to establish a high level of trust, possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, be skilled in relationship building and collaboration, be familiar with community-engaged learning and research, be able to work in diverse environments, and possess personnel, program, and facility management experience.
Knowledge of the social, political, and economic dynamics of Pittsburgh, and specifically those of Homewood, is preferred.

Hilltop Urban Farm is hiring a Farm Laborer:
Hilltop Urban Farm (HUF), is a neighborhood resource that grows food, grows farmers, and grows community. Located in the south hills of Pittsburgh, PA, in just four seasons, the 23-acre site has gone from an abandoned former federal housing development, to a working farm. HUF provides fresh produce to the Hilltop community emergency food system.
The Hilltop community has been impacted by food apartheid lacking access to fresh, local foods. Hilltop Urban Farm recognizes the need for access and works with different community partners to fight food insecurity. HUF facilitates community events, youth programs, and educational opportunities for those interested in growing food. Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is hiring a Senior Manager of Restoration & Ecology:
The Senior Manager of Restoration and Ecology works to manage, implement, and support various projects related to restoring the ecological health of Pittsburgh's park system at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC). This position is responsible for researching best practices for ecological restoration and invasive species management, overseeing site monitoring and data collection, and implementing adaptive management techniques at designated sites.
The Senior Manager of Restoration and Ecology will also support media and education campaigns surrounding the ecological health of the parks; assist with the acquisition and management of relevant grants and funding opportunities; and oversee volunteer opportunities, apprenticeship and workforce development programs, and adjacent administrative activities.
