The Climate Reality Project is hiring two Regional Organizers:

Regional Organizers are responsible for supporting the Climate Reality’s petrochemical opposition campaign in the Ohio River Valley (PA/OH/WV) with a specific focus on building relationships with community members and opposing new petrochemical development in West Virginia and Ohio. Climate Reality’s existing campaign covers the entire system of petrochemicals from fracking to plastics as well as the resulting toxic pollution. These individual roles will work closely with each other and with two organizers in Pennsylvania.

Location: Ohio & West Virginia

Experience: intermediate, bachelor’s degree and some relevant knowledge

Salary: $55,000

Post-Landfill Action Network is hiring a STOP Fellowship Coordinator:

The Post-Landfill Action Network is seeking a highly motivated person to support six students in educating and inspiring their peers to action against the impending petrochemical build out of the Ohio River Valley. This part-time Coordinator will oversee the execution of the STOP Fellowship, with support from the Plastic Campaign Director.

Location: Remote from the Ohio River Valley

Experience: intermediate, some relevant knowledge

Pay: $24/hour (max. 20 hours/week)

Post-Landfill Action Network is hiring a BFFP Pledge Campaign Manager:

The PLAN Team is seeking to hire a full-time, core team member primarily responsible for building and activating a national campaign to divest college campuses from single-use disposable plastic. The Break Free From Plastic Pledge is the most comprehensive single-use plastic elimination policy that colleges and universities can commit to today, going beyond single-item bans while centering accessibility. Folks that have been directly impacted by the plastic pollution crisis are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse is hiring a Operations Assistant:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Assistant is responsible for behind-the-scenes admin work that includes technology, volunteers and interns, office and organization, financial, communication, and development in support of the full organization. A complete understanding of organizational policies and procedures is required of the Operations Assistant as they work closely with the senior staff, shop staff, teaching artists, volunteers, and interns.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: entry-level, customer service experience a plus

Pay: $17/hour (20 hours/week)

Farms Work Wonders is hiring a Livestock Coordinator:

Come launch a livestock program in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains! We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven professional to shape our new livestock program. This role will oversee the production of pastured poultry, including daily chores and coordinating processing.

In addition, this role will shape our livestock program for future years, likely to include rotationally grazed ruminants. Our vegetable and livestock products are sold to our on-site market, on-farm dining events, and restaurant (coming summer 2023). This position reports to the Agriculture Manager.

Green Umbrella has a new role for a full-time Staff Accountant to be responsible for grant financial reporting and organization financial data. This new role will enable the organization to more effectively report on our programmatic work to improve sustainability and climate resilience in the Greater Cincinnati region.

Trying Together is hiring a Communications Manager:

The Communications Manager is responsible for drafting, editing, scheduling, and monitoring content engagement in support of communications and community relations activities for Trying Together’s advocacy, community resource, and professional growth opportunities.

The Communications Manager will work collaboratively with other Communication Managers and related support staff, receive day-to-day instruction from the Assistant Director of Communications, and will report to the Director of Community Relations. The Communications Manager works with the Community Relations team to meet branding, communications, engagement, and marketing needs aligned with Trying Together’s strategic goals.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: mid-level, bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years relevant experience

Salary: $41,000 - $44,000

YWCA Greater Pittsburgh is hiring a Program Coordinator:

Reporting to the Director of Opportunity Pathway Programs, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing projects and programs within the Opportunity Pathways department. The program coordinator must ensure quality projects/programs development and implementation, in the areas of but not limited to community outreach, recruitment, enrollment, data collection, maintenance of records and databases, preparation of reports, relationship building with community partners, partner families, and volunteers.

The program coordinator for the department will promote and support the organization’s mission-driven culture by being committed to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for all. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Opportunity Pathways to identify opportunities to grow department initiatives and support partner engagement.
