UpstreamPgh is hiring a Community Engagement Manager
UpstreamPgh has three program areas: Advocate, Engage, and Plan/Build. The Community Engagement Manager will manage our Engage Program which includes community outreach, environmental education, volunteer projects and programs, and event planning. With our focus on clean water and climate justice, we are seeking someone who can take the lead role on engaging a diverse community around these topics. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a creative thinker and communicator, enjoys building relationships with new people, is outgoing and approachable, and can develop a network of partners.
UpstreamPgh operates with a team-based approach, and this position will report directly to the Executive Director, but will also work closely with the entire team to ensure that all projects and programs are as engaging as possible. The Engage program is supported by our Ecosystems Program Assistant.

Grow Pittsburgh is hiring a Early Childhood Garden Educator:
Grow Pittsburgh’s School Garden Programs provide garden-based programming to PreK-12 schools across the Pittsburgh region, teaching schools how to integrate gardening and cooking activities into classroom curriculum. The school garden program began in 2007 and during the 2018-2019 school year we piloted an Early Childhood Garden Program through a partnership with the Sampson Foundation.
This role will work with ECE educators and communities for one year to assist in planning and building on-site gardens. Gardens are outdoor classrooms that are adaptable to most play yards and are designed to fit the space and needs of each center including options for indoor growing. The program integrates garden and cooking activities into the classroom curriculum to support the development and education of the whole child. We train and work with teachers to host garden classes throughout the growing season and develop curriculum to create a dynamic, sustainable, site-specific program.

National Aviary is hiring a Philanthropy Assistant:
The Philanthropy Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support in the day-to-day operations of the Philanthropy office. The primary responsibilities of the Philanthropy Assistant are in the following areas: meeting set up and arrangements; Philanthropy presentations, reports, charts, and trackers; donor communications assistance, including mailings, acknowledgement letters, guest lists, etc.; donor recognition and gift ordering; and supply oversight and orders, including various printing needs and office supplies.
The Philanthropy Assistant works closely with the Director of Philanthropy and other Philanthropy team members to ensure that the National Aviary’s Philanthropy Department is efficient and high performing.

The Alliance for Appalachia is hiring an Alliance Development Coordinator:
We are looking for someone to support the vision of Alliance member organizations, and to coordinate operations, fundraising and digital communications for our regional coalition. The Development Coordinator will work in close partnership with the Alliance Engagement Coordinator to build community and capacity across the coalition.
This is a remote position with a strong desire for candidates to be located in Central or Southern Appalachia. This is a full-time, flexible, 40-hour/week schedule with occasional travel and work on nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license is required.

Working alongside the Executive Director, Mobilify’s Policy Intern has the chance to shape how Mobilify impacts transportation accessibility, equity, and resiliency throughout the Pittsburgh region.
